The Commissioner General of Prisons, Can. Dr. Johnson Byabashaija, has set a good example for Uganda Prisons Service (UPS) staff by renewing his national identity card. Dr. Byabashaija encouraged all UPS staff across the country to actively participate in the ongoing national ID exercise, highlighting the importance of accurate IDs for validation, security, and service delivery.
Dr. Byabashaija emphasized that Prison Officers should ensure their IDs are error-free, particularly in details such as age, birth dates, and names. This is crucial to avoid issues with payroll and other essential services.
